According to my calculations, today, August 13th, is the eighteenth time this summer that we have reached 100 degrees. With the weather forecast for the next few weeks predicting temperatures of over 100 degrees almost daily, it appears that we will far exceed our average of 20 days per year of temperatures over 100 degrees. It now appears that the number will be in the 30-40 range. This is far below our record of 71 100 degree days in 2011.
