Now is a Great Time to Enjoy the Pool
ByMatt Gohlke September 24, 2025

Now that we have come to the official end of summer (September 22nd), it is a good time to look back at how hot it was: Looking at the long-range forecast, it appears that we have likely seen our last 100-degree day for this summer and have now entered what is likely the best time of year for outdoor activities—the fall. Many who like spending time outdoors agree that fall in the north Texas area is hard to beat for weather. The average temperatures for the next three months are as follows: September -78 degrees (average high=88 degrees; average low=67 degrees)October – 67 degrees (average high=78 degrees; average low=56 degrees)November – 55 degrees (average high=65 degrees; average low=45 degrees) These temperatures are ideal for being outdoors,…

Water Saving Tips for Pool Owners
ByMatt Gohlke August 12, 2025

We have had a very mild summer thus far. As of this writing (August 12th), we have only had three days in which it reached 100 degrees, and we typically have had 10-15 by now on our way to our average of 20 days at or above 100 degrees. Although August is typically our hottest month, there is not a 100-degree day in the 14 day forecast. But I will say this—we could sure use some rain. The hot, dry weather that we typically have each summer combined with the continued influx of new residents to the north Texas area can and has put a heavy burden on our resources—especially our water. Most DFW municipalities have not started restricting water use, but it is something that is always a…

A Commitment from Gohlke Pools for 2025
ByMatt Gohlke February 4, 2025

We always end the year with mixed emotions. We are happy that we get a chance to reflect back on 2024 and we have some great memories, a few successes, and also a few failures. In addition, it allows us to look at the goals that we set and see how we did. Overall, we are pleased with 2024, but we feel that the best version of Gohlke Pools is yet to come. We are now entering our 67th year. It was 1958 when Gene Gohlke & Bert Moore thought that Denton was ready for its very own pool construction company. Their passion for high quality construction and high ethics is not forgotten by the current team, and it inspires us to work hard to…

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve had the opportunity to have Joey Gallagher service my hot tub several times. He has always treated his customers with courtesy, professionalism, respect and genuine care he shows to them. I’ve learned quite a lot from him about the hot tub. I would definitely recommend him to any of your customer base.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Gohlke (Gary) replaced my pump with VSP Pentair. I then had them (Dale and crew) come replace the Mastic. Getting great service I had Eli give us a quote come back to replace the Tile, pool
Light and replaster. Bill was the project manager and couldn't ask for anyone better. I was nervous about the project but after one visit he had my complete trust.
Everyone has been so professional and knowledgeable. I love my pool. Can't thank everyone enough. Special thanks to Gary, Bill, Dale, Eli, all the pool cleaners Aaron, Miguel (a couple more).
Gohlke is now my goto for Pool Care.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience speaking with Connor from Gohlke Pools. Although my home is outside their service area and they were not able to come out to fix my pool’s built-in freeze protection system, Connor was incredibly helpful and generous with his time.

He took the time to review the pictures and information I provided, carefully assess the situation, and explain his diagnosis and possible solutions to me—all without charging me anything. He also went the extra mile by referring me to a company that is closer to my home and may be able to handle the repair.

I truly appreciate Connor’s professionalism, knowledge, kindness, and willingness to help even though he could not take on the job himself. His generosity and customer service really stood out to me. I highly recommend Gohlke Pools, and especially appreciate the assistance I received from Connor!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I contacted these guys for a chiller to be installed for my Inground pool. I was very skeptical if it would actually work in this Texas heat. I have zero shade trees. Decided to just do it and it’s amazing!! Our pool went from feeling like bath water to COLD! We run it at night and that’s it. Did not raise my electric bill like I thought either. Install was amazing. Customer service was and is amazing! If you’re on the fence, DO IT!

Evan and Anthony from Gohlke Pools installed a device to regulate the pool's water level for our pool
(a fill-o-matic). In hot afternoon summer sun they both worked diligently to get it done.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have worked with several people at Gohlke. Evan, Daniel and Cody for pool maintenance and repairs. They are courteous and attentive. They listen carefully to issues or questions we have and take time to give us informative responses.

Travis has repaired issues with the equipment and is very thorough and will the share information regarding the repairs.

The office staff is equally responsible and pleasant to communicate with regarding billing and any questions we may have.

Gohlke is a good company to work with.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Korbin came and looked at our very old Thermospa. We decided that repairs would not be cost effective. He tried a couple of repairs but were unsuccessful. Korbin told me about spa removal and we made the decision that it was time for our hot tub to go.
A week later Korbin and some other techs arrived on time and the spa was removed in less than an hour. Everyone was helpful and courteous.
Korbin & the rest of the crew were very good representives of your company. Thanks for a good experience.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The team has been amazing in the entire pool process came up with a design I just love for my backyard. The selection process was not overwhelming. The construction team was there to make sure tasks were completed timely. They continue to help even after the build with questions. I continue to use them for the cleaning after the build. They know the pool and they are keeping it amazing each time I walk outside.
