Every year in May, Gohlke Pools celebrates water safety month! What’s better than celebrating it when the grass is green, the water is crystal clear, and the memories of summer time are about to commence? Since Memorial Day is right around the corner, now is the perfect time to have a refresher course of what to watch for during the summer season as well as possibly saving a life.
In our one hour seminar to be held May 12th, you will receive a handful of water safety goodies along with discussing a variety of safety topics:
- Basic Safety Tips
- Unattended children, water toys, floatation devices, above ground pools & ladders, cell phones, & pool signs
- Swim Programs
- Learn or teach, local swim schools, certified teachers
- Safety Equipment
- Pool fences, covers, alarms, drain covers
- Emergency Procedures
- CPR/first aid classes, Safety plans
On average, there are about 10 deaths per day due to drowning. With this small seminar class, we hope to help minimize this number and help keep your loved ones safe and sound. This class will be taught by a previous swim instructor with several years of experience and current Gohlke Pools team member, Chevy Gil. With her first hand experiences, she will be able to guide you through each one of these safety topics with ease.
