What Pool Owners Should Do After A Rainstorm

Heavy rain can expose problems such as poor drainage and can create problems such as debris in the pool and water chemistry issues.

It is important to do the following after a heavy rain:

Determine if drainage problems exist which can be corrected.
Remove debris from the skimmer baskets.
Skim debris off of the surface of the pool.
Vacuum the pool as necessary.
Check water chemistry and be sure that the pH is in the proper range.
Superchlorinate according to label directions.
Consider operating the pump and automatic cleaner for an extended period of time to help clean up the pool.
Check the water chemistry the day after the storm and adjust as necessary.

School Is Out For the Summer!

Graduation time is here and this group of high school seniors will now prepares to enter the next chapter of their lives. Poop in the Pool

Several times per year we get the following call—“Someone has pooped in the pool—do we have to drain all of the water out of the pool?” With no disrespect to the movie Caddyshack, the pool does not have to be drained. According to the Pool & Spa Operator Handbook, a publication of the National Swimming Pool Foundation, following are the fecal incident response recommendations: For any type of accidental fecal release (AFR), direct all users to leave the pool. Continuing Freeze Warnings

Winter is upon us and our Texas weather is as interesting and unpredictable as always. We continue to vacilate between sunny, warm afternoons followed by abrupt dips into the teens and twenties. To be prepared for freezing weather, it is important that you know how to prevent freeze damage if your pool has not already been prepared for the freeze. Following are our recommendations on how to prevent freeze damage. Backwashing A Sand Filter

Probably the second most common type of filter in the Denton area is a sand filter. Sand filters are the oldest types of filter—they were used in ancient times. They are typically very reliable and are easy to operate. The concept of a sand filter is fairly simple—sand filters are approximately 2/3 full of sand and any dirt and debris that is larger than the sand is filtered before it reaches the bottom of the filter, where there is a plumbing assembly (consisting of a hub and typically 8 laterals) which collects the water and then it returns to the pool.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Gohlke (Gary) replaced my pump with VSP Pentair. I then had them (Dale and crew) come replace the Mastic. Getting great service I had Eli give us a quote come back to replace the Tile, pool
Light and replaster. Bill was the project manager and couldn't ask for anyone better.  I was nervous about the project but after one visit he had my complete trust.
Everyone has been so professional and knowledgeable.  I love my pool.  Can't thank everyone enough.  Special thanks to Gary, Bill, Dale, Eli, all the pool cleaners Aaron, Miguel (a couple more).
Gohlke is now my goto for Pool Care.

Although my home is outside their service area and they were not able to come out to fix my pool’s built-in freeze protection system, Connor was incredibly helpful and generous with his time.

He took the time to review the pictures and information I provided, carefully assess the situation, and explain his diagnosis and possible solutions to me—all without charging me anything. He also went the extra mile by referring me to a company that is closer to my home and may be able to handle the repair.

I truly appreciate Connor’s professionalism, knowledge, kindness, and willingness to help even though he could not take on the job himself. His generosity and customer service really stood out to me. I was very skeptical if it would actually work in this Texas heat. I have zero shade trees. Decided to just do it and it’s amazing!! Our pool went from feeling like bath water to COLD! We run it at night and that’s it. Did not raise my electric bill like I thought either. Install was amazing. Customer service was and is amazing! If you’re on the fence, DO IT!

They are courteous and attentive. They listen carefully to issues or questions we have and take time to give us informative responses.

Travis has repaired issues with the equipment and is very thorough and will the share information regarding the repairs.

The office staff is equally responsible and pleasant to communicate with regarding billing and any questions we may have.

He tried a couple of repairs but were unsuccessful. Korbin told me about spa removal and we made the decision that it was time for our hot tub to go.
A week later Korbin and some other techs arrived on time and the spa was removed in less than an hour. Everyone was helpful and courteous.
Korbin & the rest of the crew were very good representives of your company.  Thanks for a good experience.
